My mission as an artist is to, through my work, compel people to find the “awe” in the every day. To unveil beauty in the mundane and bring us closer to the collective common mystery of life. To celebrate our humanity and portray the marks we make on the world and each other.
I work with various media including encaustic, acrylics, inks, textiles, fabrics, botanicals, and discarded things. I’ve recently begun incorporate textiles, fabrics and found objects into my creative process. I recently started making earrings out of polymer clay!
I like engaging with-and making art out of-the items around us that we would normally disregard as trash. Oh, I also like lighting things on fire.
